Our Team

The company is supported by two full-time staff members and five part-time staff members, dedicated to and equally passionate in delivering English language education in an engaging and stimulating way seven days a week. At NYUE, our dedicated staff is passionate about nurturing the potential of every child. 

Our team embodies a commitment to contextualizing English language education in Hong Kong. With her deep understanding of the challenges students face, particularly the lack of authentic exposure to the language, Miss Janice has assembled a group of experienced educators, each with unique backgrounds in linguistics and teaching. Our staff not only possesses the academic qualifications — including degrees from prestigious institutions like the University of Hong Kong — but also shares a profound dedication to creating engaging, meaningful learning experiences that empower children to thrive in their language development. Together, we strive to foster a supportive and enriching environment where every child can flourish.

Miss Janice

Founder, Director & Teacher

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Janice experienced education as a local Hongkongese. However, her personal learning journey has allowed her to place her core value on passion and intrinsic motivation. Her international exposure has further shaped who she is as an educator, someone who believes interaction and child-led education.

Miss Janice sees her passion and loving heart as her biggest assets. She is a motivated teacher, life-long learner as well as an entrepreneur. Her vision is for NYUE to become not only a loving classroom that nurtures students’ love of learning, but also a supportive community for parents and teachers.

Teaching and planning new projects are Miss Janice’s two major passions but apart from work, she enjoys reading self-help books, watching TV shows on Netflix, her recent favourite is The House of Dragons, as well as wakesurfing.

    Zenith Wong

    Project Manager & Teacher

    Born in Australia, Zenith is a graduate of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology minoring in Psychology from the University of Hong Kong, with an avid passion for education and child development.  

    ​Zenith believes kids can achieve anything they want if they put their mind to it (they’re a lot smarter than they’re given credit for!), so she’s there to give them a helping hand.    In addition to her work at NYUE, she is the editor-in-chief of Dear Asian Youth, a NGO with 105k Instagram followers and counting, which highlights and empowers the voices of Asian youth around the world.

    Jodie Lam

    Storyteller & Teacher

    Graduated as an English major from CUHK, Jodie is now pursuing a career in Drama at HKAPA. She spent two years in the UK at the end of high school in search of a diversified learning experience. 

    Her passion lies in anything fun and inspiring! She loves exploring performing arts, listening to podcasts on the introduction to philosophy and painting at home.

    Jodie’s educational and international background has equipped her with storytelling that is lively and engaging, the reason why many children love her classes!

    Regine graduated with a degree in Business Management, majoring in Human Resources Management from De Montfort University. Despite spending most of her career working up the corporate ladder, she found that her passion truly lies in working with children, ensuring their childhood is deeply rooted in curiosity in learning about the world and fostering genuine connections within their own community.
